Anyone not pining for more Rex Harrison hi-jinx was suitably charmed and so a sequel was - obviously - inevitable. Doctor Dolittle 2 is exactly what you'd expect. A new menagerie of verbal creatures (thanks to Jim Henson's creature shop) trading quips with Murphy while skipping lightly over a second hand eco-friendly message. It's pretty gentle stuff - especially when you look at it alongside Murphy's early work - but it's funny and clever enough to keep the family entertained. ...
