Daily Mirror Editor Piers Morgan described her as 'The biggest driver of sales of tabloid newspapers in the country.' A top glamour model since the age of 16 she was an instant hit as a Page 3 girl was the F1 Jordan team mascot for four years and even spent 3 weeks with Hugh Hefner at the Playboy mansion! Yet behind the glamorous party girl is the real Jordan - Katie Price - single mum and accomplished horsewoman who is more at home in her combat trousers than posing in her G-string. Much has been written about Jordan in the press but here for the first time is the real story of Katie in her own words. She reveals the full stories behind her turbulent youth her traumatic relationship with footballer Dwight Yorke her heartbreak over a top Formula One driver and her battle to cope with her son's blindness and diabetes and her own fight against cancer. ... Philip's Street Atlas: Bristol and Bath This street atlas covers Bristol Bath North Somerset North-East Somerset and South Gloucestershire at a scale of 3.5 inches to 1 mile. HIGH FIDELITY - (DVD) Excellent adaptation of Nick Hornby's novel relocates the action to Chicago but keeps everything else. John Cusack stars as Rob a record shop owner only recently deserted by his girlfriend. Acutely observed and very funny romantic comedy. A lot of people got upset when it was announced that Nick Hornby's bestselling novel was going to be relocated to America with an American cast. They needn't have worried of course as the Hornby's characters situations and pretty much most of his dialogue makes it across the Atlantic in one piece. The resulting film is one of the best romantic comedies to have been made for years - and just for novelty value - its one for the blokes. Cusack - perfectly cast - stars as Rob a music obsessive navel gazer. When his girlfriend Laura (Iben Hjejle) walks out on him he descends into a crisis which he can only deal with by listening to more music and moping about where he went wrong in the past with his other failed romances. The resulting film is from Rob's point of view as he talks the viewer through the various relationships in his life. Now running a fiercely independent (and probably also a failure) record shop in the backstreets of Chicago with his two looser clerks who were only employed for three days but "kept showing up" Rob's life isn't going anywhere fast. Finding himself single again after a number of years he begins hunting through his old address books to find his old girlfriends and see where he's going wrong. Oblivious to the fact that the problem might be a little closer to home. Steven Frear's direction is unobtrusive making excellent uses of his Chicago locations. The screenplay adapted by the team who wrote the similarly excellent Grosse Point Blank is superb lifting whole chunks out of the novel. The cast including Joan Cusack Lili Taylor Catherine Zeta Jones Tim Robins and the very funny Jack Black are pitch perfect in every respect. overall a fine and witty romantic comedy with - and this should go without saying - a brilliant soundtrack. DVD Version Widescreen: 1.85:1 Stereo: Dolby Digital 5.1 (English) Subtitles: English English for the hard of hearing Swedish Norwegian Danish Finnish Icelandic Hebrew Greek Special Features Deleted Scenes Interview with Stephen Frears Interview with John Cusack Theatrical Trailer ... Most Dangerous Enemy A History of the Battle of Britain This history of the Battle of Britain provides an encyclopaedic academic rigour: the author went back to original sources both in the Public Record Office and the German archives. Challenging virtually every time-honoured myth and assumption about Britain's victory the book questions the traditional myth of an amateurish honourable British 'Few' up against a pitiless and regimented German war machine. It actually asserts exactly the opposite: that it was Britain's pilots who were the ruthless combatants and its aircraft production that was the well-oiled machine and the Germans who never quite recovered from their amateurish underestimation of their 'most dangerous enemy'. ... Exploring Chemical Elements and Their Compounds An introduction to chemical elements for general science students. The author provides a summary of each element's properties and characteristics scientific and commercial applications compound and isotope listings and historical background. ...
